Website A Gazeta

This is the design of the new and improved website for the newspaper A Gazeta, part of the communication portal Rede Gazeta. Considering the assumptions of the old Gazeta Online website and some ideas pre-defined by old projects, the work aimed to create a website that would replace printed newspapers and offer other new and/or exclusive features. The focus of the work was on developing a website that was both innovative and familiar to users of the old site, thus resulting in an intuitive and pleasant browsing experience.

Este é o projeto do novo e melhorado website para o jornal A Gazeta, parte do portal de comunicação Rede Gazeta. Considerando as premissas do antigo website Gazeta Online e algumas ideias pré-definidas por antigos projetos, o trabalho teve como objetivo criar um website que substituísse os jornais impressos e oferecesse outras funcionalidades novas e/ou exclusivas. O foco do trabalho foi em desenvolver um website que fosse ao mesmo tempo inovador e familiar para os usuários do antigo site, assim resultando em uma experiência de navegação intuitiva e agradável.

Personas

The newspaper has an extremely varied audience. The survey to get to know users is based on data from internal surveys of the company, which I cannot share here for confidentiality reasons. The focus was on the similarities of the users and on the company’s policy and its journalistic positioning.

O jornal tem um público extremamente variado. A pesquisa para conhecer os usuários está baseada em dados de pesquisas internas da empresa, as quais não poderei compartilhar aqui por questões de sigilo. O foco foi nas similaridades dos usuários e na política da empresa e seu posicionamento jornalístico.

Ideation / Ideação

For the creation of the new portal, we initially collected data and held meetings with the client in order to map out in detail all the necessary aspects. This process was conducted in detail, ensuring that all ends were tied before we proceeded to create the wireframes, which were prepared based on a series of tests and approvals from the client, aiming to meet their needs and expectations.

Para a criação do novo portal, realizamos inicialmente a coleta de dados e reuniões com o cliente a fim de mapear detalhadamente todos os aspectos necessários. Esse processo foi conduzido de forma minuciosa, garantindo que todas as pontas estivessem amarradas antes de seguirmos para a criação dos wireframes, que foram elaborados com base em uma série de testes e aprovações do cliente, visando atender às suas necessidades e expectativas.

The interface creation process was long due to the amount of pages and information to be treated. We made precise decisions about colors, fonts and details, and it involved a lot of technical testing. The fact that the project is completely responsive and is experimenting with new technologies in development, generated an even greater lack of attention and assertiveness.

O processo de criação da interface foi longo devido à quantidade de páginas e informações a serem tratadas. Nós tomamos decisões precisas sobre as cores, fontes e detalhes, e isso envolveu vários testes técnicos. O fato do projeto ser completamente responsivo e estar experimentando novas tecnologias no desenvolvimento, gerou uma carência de atenção e assertividade ainda maior.

In conclusion, I was part of the team responsible for creating and managing the website, and I am pleased to say that the project was delivered within the proposed time frame, and was developed entirely by the A Gazeta development team. The site went live in November 2019, with extremely positive feedback, which made us very proud of the work done.

Em conclusão, fiz parte da equipe responsável pela criação e gerenciamento do website, e estou satisfeito em afirmar que o projeto foi entregue dentro do prazo proposto, e foi desenvolvido inteiramente pela equipe de desenvolvimento A Gazeta. O site foi ao ar em novembro de 2019, com retorno extremamente positivo, o que nos deixou muito orgulhosos do trabalho realizado.
